Cliff has been such an important part of our family and will be sorely missed. I’m grateful to have had him in our lives for so many years.
I have countless memories visiting for summer holidays in Budleigh Salterton, or dropping in for lunch at Brackley. You were always a true gentleman and welcoming.
You had a lifetime of experience, and travelled so much. I’m so glad you made a record of your wartime stories so everyone can relive them. I’ve shared a link below for you all to enjoy.

Cliff has been a kind and supportive stepfather and grandfather and it has been a privilege to have him in our lives.
I have added a few photos of events with him over the years including his 90th birthday lunch we celebrated with him on the Severn Valley Steam Railway, a trip to the Vintage Speed Hill Climb near Honiton and a memorable day when he helped us launch our ski boat at Exmouth, not suspecting when I took that photo that he would be shortly experiencing probably the fastest ever boat ride of his life !
I learned much from Cliff about his WW2 years and his part in the Normandy campaign and of the struggles and hardships he endured through those years.
Cliff was a wonderful husband to Mum and a always a true gentleman

It was indeed a pleasure knowing you during your stay at St Rumbolds Court. We will always treasure the laughter and stories you shared with us. We still see you and Betty sitting in your usual seats at Service of Word & Communion. Your contributions to this community were invaluable and most appreciated. Thank you for your service.
